In 2022, the leadership of Minnesota Ethnic Providers Network (MNEPN) took a bold step to create a networking platform to support their shared mission: to provide compassionate, high-quality programs, and advocate against bad policies that could potentially harm or reduce the services Minnesota’s growing older population receives.
MNEPN’s mission is to provide a platform to unite, support, and mobilize an array of providers, organizations, and individuals all working to serve the needs of older adults and their families in Minnesota. Through the platform, MNEPN members have access to resources, training, and networking opportunities that help them provide their services more effectively.
The platform also serves as a powerful advocacy tool, allowing members to voice their opinion on important issues related to aging and disability services. The group works to ensure that the needs of older adults are heard on the state and local level and that bad policies are challenged. Through collective efforts and collaboration, MNEPN members strive to create an interconnected and supportive network of providers that offers high-quality services to Minnesota’s aging population.
In addition to creating a platform to unite and support providers, MNEPN also works to increase awareness of the issues facing older adults and their families in Minnesota. With the help of the media and outreach initiatives, MNEPN seeks to educate the public on the importance of aging services and the potential consequences of bad policies. MNEPN’s leadership is made up of a diverse group of providers and organizations, all working together to live out their shared mission of providing compassionate, high-quality programs and advocating against bad policies.
Through their network and advocacy, MNEPN is working to create a more equitable and just society for Minnesota’s aging population. By creating a platform to unite and support providers, MNEPN is helping to ensure that older adults and their families in Minnesota receive the care, services, and advocacy they need to age in place and live happy and fulfilling lives. The group’s mission to provide compassionate, high-quality programs and advocate against bad policies is an important one, and MNEPN is well-positioned to help make it a reality.
